Sea men’s club and free wifi

Need to be connected? Located at the first floor of The maritime station, the SEA MEN’S CLUB dedicated to Crew members welcomes you! We keep at your disposal this peaceful area to relax and be connected with your friends and family. Please kindly ask at the info desk (inside the maritime station) the code for free unlimited wifi.

Go to the beach

Want to enjoy your free time at the beach? It’s very easy even if you don’t have much time, here are your best options:

• City center beach – Citadelle / plage de Saint François: 5 min walking from the pier (please refer to city map)
• City center beach – quartier Trottel: 15 min walking from the port, follow the same way and go further on the sea shore walking path – you will also find beach restaurants, chairs, diving club, shopping area, supermarket
• Sanguinary road white sand small curve beach... Take the bus, line 5 from Place De Gaule (5 min walking from the port) to terminus La Parata (Sanguinary Island Site). In the between every stop is a beach with a beach restaurant, chairs rental…: Link
• Porticcio Sea Shore Marina Viva: Take the sea shuttle from the marina (5 min walking from the ship). Within 20 min you will be on the south shore, it’s an easy and non-expensive way to go to the Porticcio Marina Viva beach (also at walking distance access to shopping area, beach bars with chairs rental, and beach restaurants). Other useful informations

Taxi: We are happy to help! Please kindly ask someone from the info desk inside the maritime station. You can for example take a taxi to go to the beautiful Capo Di Feno beach (20-min drive). Which is also a good place for a sea shore walk, nautical activities, beach restaurants… Taxis are quite expensive, so for the classical visit to the Sanguinary Islands I recommend taking the open top bus which gives you a very attractive special rate!

Eating local: Try any stands on the local market place. The best cheap way to easily discover the local specialties.

Staying late night? Try one of the very typical restaurants, Le 20123, le Roi de Rome, L’Auberge Ajaccienne (family local cooking, corsican welcome, it’s always full you do have to make a reservation).

Nightlife: As your calls are ending late, I recommend experiencing the local nightlife. Most wine bars with local music are located in the street Rue Roi de Rome (in the old city, 10 min walking distance from the pier). No booking necessary.
